Welcome to the Silver Beach Spotlight

This is a news blog dedicated to the Silver Beach Neighborhood in Bellingham, WA. This blog is a project for a journalism class I am taking at Western Washington University. This project will be giving me the opportunity to develop my reporting skills as a journalist, so along the way there will be news articles and blog updates about current happenings in the Silver Beach area.

ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD:

The Silver Beach neighborhood is located on the northern shores of Lake Whatcom. The neighborhood is mainly residential, with over 3,300 residents and provides a vast amount of recreational opportunities, not just for the residents, but for the City of Bellingham as well. Lake Whatcom, Bloedel Donovan Park and the Big Rock Garden Park are just a few of the outdoor features this neighborhood offers.
